Awards for Art Department & Students
As a result of the academic success gained over the last 20 years combined with recent awards from the Good Schools Guide, the Art Department has been awarded Foundation Course Status by Edexcel.
At the end of the course students will be awarded a Diploma in Foundation Studies (art & design) – EDEXCEL. This award is usually only granted to universities and art colleges and will allow our students to gain direct entry onto degree courses at such establishments.
The first candidate was Soon Hong Park to gain a Diploma in Foundation Studies with Distinction and each year the number of students to gain Foundation Status is increasing.
The Good Schools' Guide has voted The Oratory School Art Department "Best Overall at A Level Art in the UK 2009" and the latest award from the GSG is the "2009 Good Schools Guide Award for Best Results at GCSE in an English School".
A fantastic achievement all round.
